I spotted the following feature in a motorcycle magazine last night. I thought the story might interest you given the leak in the oil partition of your right-side tank. I thought it was interesting.
Still struggling with how to deal with the oil tank leak. I could try to use a sealer, but worried that hot oil might me more likely to break down the sealant, and then pump it through the bearings. Also, even if I get the sealant to work, when they Bondo'ed the right tank, I think they covered up the 2-56 thread holes for the Indian logo..
Most people say welded repops are the way to go. Just that little matter of $$.
FLT Your biggest problem is just getting the reserve tank clean of any oil and etched correctly, never try to seal the inside of the oil tank as ya can't get all the oil out from the seams! Red Coat or Por won't be effected by any heat in the tanks. Remember the gas in the reserve tank helps cool the oil. Duff
