Sometimes you conquer the mountain, and sometimes the
mountain conquers you... My kick starter arm and the associated stud has 74 years of wear... I was trying to get the worn kick starter stub out of the frame, because they sell oversize reproductions to take up the wear.
Overzealous pounding broke the frame casting circumferentially about an inch below where the seat tube enters the casting...Several years ago, I suffered a broken frame tube on my HD 45", and Richard Wascher at WASCO in Tacoma did an awesome repair. I am stripping the bike down to the bare frame, and will see what WASCO can do with it.
